Description

For this powerful red wine from Alto Adige, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon are vinified together. After manual harvesting, the grapes are lightly crushed and destemmed, the mash is fermented for approx. 10 days after a short maceration. The must is kept in contact with the skins by pumping over and gently crushing, and the temperature is raised slightly at the end of fermentation to achieve better color and flavor extraction from the grape skins. The wine is then matured in wooden barrels.

Tasting Notes :
The wine is strong in vegetal aromas, rather aggressive that do not yield, but continue to develop, warm and ripe, even after some time after the wine has been poured into the glass. In the mouth it is robust, dry, with a wild and “earthy” consistency that continues very persistent, thanks to a great tannic structure.
