Le Difese is the estate’s entry-level offering, yet it is crafted with the same care and attention to detail as its more illustrious stablemates. This wine was first produced in 2003, and it is known for its consistent quality and excellent value. Le Difese is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, two grape varieties that thrive in Tuscany`s maritime climate. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and dark fruit flavours to the blend, while Sangiovese adds bright red fruit notes and a touch of acidity that balances the wine beautifully.
Tasting Notes:
A fruit-forward, suave and fantastically drinkable red. Ripe strawberry and pomegranate notes waft from the glass with spicy liquorice and clove aromas unfolding on the palate. Supple and juicy, it is just the thing for everyday Tuscan fare.
