Description
The iconic Chassagne red wine is produced from a dozen plots located on the lower slopes with a wide exposure from the north-east to the south-west: a balance of a very superior aromatic quality. Cellar process involves pre-fermentation cold maceration, followed by stainless steel tank fermentation, skin crushing, partial oak barrel aging, and natural malolactic fermentation at cellar temperature (13-14°C). After 12 months of ageing, the wine is pumped back to one tank for more ageing (6 months) before bottling.
Tasting Notes :
Notes of ripe red summer berries, strawberries with hints of spice and forest floor. Balanced with a fine acidity and soft tannin, good length.
