Description

The label pays tribute to the famous Pencarrow Lighthouse on the Palliser coast. It also pays homage to Mary Jane Bennett, whose lighthouse keeper husband died in 1855, leaving her to raise six children alone and run the lighthouse herself. This was a first for a woman in New Zealand in those pioneering days. The wine is crafted by chief winemaker Guy McMaster who is a passionate advocate for regeneration and organics. He is a firm believer that if you look after the land it looks after you.

Tasting Notes :
A soft, rounded Sauvignon Blanc with lush fruit. Bursting with musky, tropical aromas of passion fruit, guava, mango, Granny Smith apple, calamansi and frangipani. The palate is crisp, clean and mouthwatering, finishes long, luscious and dry.
