Description
Sangue d’Oro is a Pantellerian wonder, an aromatic journey through the Mediterranean; it perfectly represents the paradox of an island that is extreme and violent, swept by sun and wind, and at the same time very sensual. It is produced on the island of Pantelleria, in the city quarter of Serraglio, by the famous French actress Carol Bouquet in collaboration with expert local winemakers and oenologists. Moscato di Pantelleria is produced from a grape variety called Moscato di Alessandria, locally called Zibibbo (meaning “raisin”). The aromas are very strong and these grapes show great resistance to climatic conditions.
Tasting Notes :
Ideal for apéritifs or desserts, this gold-coloured white wine with amber hints reveals an intense nose of candied notes, bergamot and dried apricot. The palate is limpid, yet creamy and rich. Complex, fresh and well balanced, it will pair equally well with sweet/salty dishes and special cheeses.
