Tasting Notes :
Markus Schneider’s “Saumagen” Riesling has its origins in the top vineyards of the Kallstadt Saumagen. The wine is mineral-fruity and caresses the nose with notes of citrus fruits, peach, apple and apricot. Aging in wooden barrels also gives it spicy and complex notes of vanilla, brioche and some beech smoke. On the palate, the Markus Schneider “Saumagen” Riesling is wonderfully dancing, delicately fruity and drinkable. Simply well done, it strikes a perfect balance between power and elegance, revealing the best of both and allowing mineral notes to fade in perfect harmony on a long finish.
