Description
This wine is made exclusively from the famed Bockstein vineyard which is a VDP Grosse Lage, the designation for the very best German vineyards (equivalent of the Burgundian Grand Cru). The sites are precisely demarcated vineyard parcels. It is here that the best wines ripen, wines that express a unique vineyard origin and possess exceptional aging potential. Kabinett is the first late-harvest predicate. Ripe, healthy grapes ripen and are selected and harvested by hand. The wine is aged for about 6 months on the lees in stainless steel vats.
Tasting Notes :
The wine reveals itself in the glass with a straw yellow of medium intensity. The nose is a faithful portrait of the Mosel and Riesling, revealing notes of citrus peel and crisp apricot, as well as a clear mineral, almost chalky perception. The sip, rich and pulpy, strikes for the perfect balance between the sprinkling freshness and the sweetness of the grape.
