Description
Mount Langi Ghiran is a pioneer of cool climate winemaking and one of the first vineyards in Australia to plant Pinot Gris. Scarce and limited, they were able to source the first Pinot Gris cuttings from two small growers in 1994. Over the last two decades, they have honed their skills in the vineyard and employed a range of winemaking techniques to create own classic Billi Billi Pinot Gris. This wine captures the intense flavour profile and acid structure that is reflective of Grampians’s cool climate. The result is an aromatic wine, with a varietal core, textural depth and fine acidity.
Tasting Notes :
With its clear, pale straw colour and subtle golden hue, this wine opens with beautifully aromatic layers of white nectarine, green pear, citrus zest and a hint of stone fruit blossom. On the palate, vibrant peach and melon notes glide across a textural and finely balanced frame, showcasing the varietal purity and delicate floral lift that have become hallmarks of Langi’s Pinot Gris.
