Description

Made with 70% Chardonnay, 15% Viognier and 15% Sauvignon Blanc. The 20 to 25 year old vines grown in dry-farmed, high elevation vineyards, 1,050 meters (3,445 feet) above sea level with gravel and limestone soil, with a clay subsoil. The grapes are manually harvested in small boxes. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steels tanks for 10 days without malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (50% new and 50% first use) for 8 months. Rich and lush, this wine reflects the abundance of sunshine that is typical of Lebanon’s climate.

Tasting Notes :
On the nose, Marquis des Beys Blanc is elegant and somewhat evolved with notes of ripe stone fruit, vanilla and touch of hazelnut complexity reflecting the time it spends in barrel. On the palate, there is an increased density and richness, with flavors of ripe fruits and subtle oak notes. The wine has a good balance of acidity and alcohol, making it a great pairing for rich seafood dishes or creamy poultry dishes.
