Description
Faced with the very poor 1945 harvest washed away by frost, Emile Beyer had blended all his wines in the smallest barrel in the cellar. This legendary but not very generous vintage inspired the creation of this cuvee in 2021, thus reconnecting with history. The 2021 Liber is an assemblage of five grapes, partly from the grand crus. This is a natural, unfiltered wine with no added sulfites.
Tasting Notes :
The wine opens clear, elegant and aromatic on the nose and clearly transports Gewürztraminer characters, including fine tannins and stony aromas. Lean and fresh but intense, with fine tannin grip on the palate, this is an elegant and refreshing or zesty Alsace classic with an intense, aromatic and well-structured finish.
