Description
Thought to be the oldest documented vineyard, the name ‘Im Weingebirge’ dates back to the 5th century. The wines from this vineyard are known to have impressive depth and minerality. The soil is varied with loess on the higher terraces and deep topsoil over primary rock lower down the slope. The wine ages on its lees in old barrels, giving creamy texture.
Tasting Notes :
Superb natural white wine of an unique world class! Deep intense straw yellow with golden tears. Exceptional complex aroma full of white stone fruit, royal jelly, wild blossoms, white Muntok pepper and minerality. Lush rich rounded flavour with distinctive acidity and a texture full of aging potential and character. Infinitely long classy finish. Unique meditation wine, but goes also well with noble white meats and poultry in rich creamy sauces, risotto with white truffle, braised white vegetables with caviar and mature hard cheeses.
