Description

Fiano di Avellino is an old Campanian grape, first mentioned in 1240. It is a distinct variety, different from its Puglian relative. It is full flavored and full bodied with a waxy texture and subtle aromas. The Fiano grapes of Sequenzha come from 20-year-old vines farmed sustainably at 500 meters above sea level. After harvest the grapes are gently pressed and then fermented in stainless steel, where it matures for 8 months before bottling.

Tasting Notes :
Smoky crushed stone mixes with dried yellow flowers, incense and a freshly sliced pear on the nose. This is pleasantly sweet and opulent in feel, yet nicely balanced by mineral-tinged orchard fruits with enriching hints of almond. It’s persistent, lightly structured and salty through the finale, which creates a wonderful contrast to the heady experience found within.
