Description
The grapes for the Xanadu Estate Chardonnay 2021 are sourced from select vineyards within the estate and neighboring properties in Margaret River. This region is renowned for its moderate Mediterranean climate, with cooling sea breezes from the Indian Ocean and a long growing season that allows for optimal ripening. The hand harvested Chardonnay grapes were carefully selected and fermented in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels, adding complexity and a subtle oak influence without overpowering the fruit. The wine was aged on its lees for nine months, with regular stirring to develop richness and depth.
Tasting Notes :
Bright apples, pears and vibrant citrus dominate on the nose while the palate offers a mouthwatering freshness balanced by a rich, creamy texture. The bold flavour profile makes this a great match for roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, or simply a generous platter of cheeses.
