Description
The Chablis 1er Cru Vau Ligneau is located in the Beine district. The vines grow in the Vaux de Long valley and extend over a steep slope (30-50% gradient) about 200 meters long. At the top of the valley, the Kimmeridgian subsoil rubs shoulders with the Portlandian soils. Although round and accessible, the wines from this 37-hectare domain are made in the traditional unoaked style and offer a refined, mineral expression of the district’s Kimmeridgian soil.
Tasting Notes :
Vivid yellow with a hint of green. It is expressive, hinting at white flowers, vanilla, and lilies. Round and elegant with a touch of minerality, very subtle with good length. This wine can be served quite young. It is a smooth, delicate, elegant wine with subtle fish dishes.
