Description
Château Croix de Labrie is located in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru of Bordeaux . The vineyard, managed by Axelle and Pierre Courdurié , extends over approximately 4 hectares. The plots are located in Badon (near Pavie), Saint Sulpice and Saint Christophe des Bardes. All vineyards are certified in organic farming . Camille de Labrie takes its name from Axelle and Pierre Courdurié’s daughter, Camille, who also designed the label when she was 7 years old. This Chardonnay comes from a chalky, sandy and limestone terroir. The harvest takes place early in the morning to keep the grapes fresh. Fermentation is carried out at low temperature. The wine is aged for a few months in vats on fine lees , then 10% of the volume is transferred to French oak barrels .
Tasting Notes :
On the glass, the wine is clear with pale gold in color. The nose reveals very aromatic notes of quince, honey, spices combined with citrus notes. The palate is fleshy and fresh, with aromas of white peach combined with hints of mango and ginger.
