Description
Izadi Selección comes from this winery’s best and oldest vineyards in the so-called golden triangle of Rioja Alavesa. This is 12 hectares of low yield strains with an average age of 60 years old, located on clay-calcareous slopes and lying 520 metres above sea level. Made with 80% Tempranillo and 20% Graciano, it then ages for 16 months in French and American oak barrels that are new, two years old and three years old.
Tasting Notes :
On the nose, it reveals an elegant complexity with aromas of raspberries and ripe cherries, balanced with toasted notes and hints of undergrowth and spices. On the palate, it is flavorful and intense, with silky tannins that fill the mouth and leave a pleasant taste of ripe fruit and elegant toasty nuances. Its profile is concentrated, offering a rich and satisfying experience.
