Description

The Gennaro Papa winery began its activity in the early 1900s with Antonio, the winemaker who gave his magnificent Primitivo grapes. Activity continued by his son Gennaro. Today the Papa Winery is managed by Antonio, who with firm decision no longer sells his grapes but transforms them into very intriguing wines. This area, we are south of Monte Massico is the land of Primitivo. “Conclave” is the first label. With the help of the oenologist Marilio Chioccia from Orvieto, a pupil of Cotarella.

Tasting Notes :
On the nose, it offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with notes of ripe fruit such as cherry, plum and blackberries, accompanied by hints of spices such as black pepper and licorice, and a hint of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is a full-bodied and structured wine, with soft tannins and good acidity that balances the power of the fruit. The finish is long and persistent, with an aftertaste of red fruit and spices.
