Description

A neighbour of Cheval Blanc, Figeac, with its 40 hectares of vines, today remains the largest estate of the Saint-Émilion commune. The second wine of Château Figeac is a worthy reflection of its older sibling. Hailing from the exceptional terroir of Château Figeac, Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé, Petit-Figeac is produced by the same teams, under the direction of Frédéric Faye. The fruit of a selection from Figeac’s youngest wines, Petit-Figeac is made with blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc aged in 100% new French oak for 16 months.

Tasting Notes :
This vintage seduces with a rich aromatic palette of raspberries and blackcurrant that are delicately intertwined with the floral and minty touches that reveal the quality of the Cabernet. Perfectly integrated tannins caress the palate with their graphite texture. The finish is remarkably savory and long.
