Castello di Tassarolo is situated in the Gavi DOCG commune that shares its name. Massimiliana is the latest in the Spinola family line that stretches back to the 8th Century and who have owned the castle since the 14th Century. Massimiliana and Henry manage their 20 hectares of vineyard along Biodynamic principles and champion the use of heavy horses to further influence their soils’ health. The wines are organic and handmade and exemplify perfectly the high standards and respectfully natural production of the estate. The Monferrato Rosso is a blend of 80% Barbera & 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Notes :
The wine is bursting with raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry fruit flavours, with an almond or marzipan note, it has bright acidity and a supple softness. A clean, natural wine; made without the addition of sulphites.
