Description

Flor de Vetus, is made from 20-year-old estate vineyards with sandy-loam soils located at an altitude of 700 meters in the heart of DO Toro. The Tinta de Toro/Tempranillo variety were destemmed, gently pressed, and cold macerated. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. Finally, Flor de Vetus 2019 aged in first and second-fill American and French oak barrels for 9 months.

Tasting Notes :
Flor de Vetus is a medium ruby color with a purple rim. The nose is dominated by notes of blueberries and blackberries, the primary characteristics of Tinta de Toro, which evolve into aromas of balsam, vegetables, aromatic herbs, and smoky wood notes. On the palate, it is gentle and fruity with notes of plums, blackberries, menthol, and some milky touches. The tannins are firm, the acidity is tense, and the finish is long and fruity. This wine is powerful but also fresh and easy to drink.
