Description

The wine is born from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the company’s estate in the Carranco district in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia (CT). The vineyards, facing North-South, are located on volcanic soils at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level. During red wine vinification, alcoholic fermentation took place in cement tanks at a temperature of 24-26°C. The aging process was for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

Tasting Notes :
On the nose, it releases aromas of cherry, sour cherry, and small red berry fruits combined with hints of wild flowers and evolved notes of leather, black pepper, and rhubarb. The palate is elegant and well-structured, supported by silky tannins and a persistent citrusy and spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses and flavorful dishes of red meats or game.
