Description
This red wine is produced in the champagne region of Montagne-de-Reims, in the village of Mareuil-sur-Ay. Very limited production of only 300-1,300 bottles per year. The wine is made from 100% vintage Pinot Noir old vines grown in the Valofroy vineyard, which borders the famous Clos-des-Goisses vineyard. Thanks to the southern exposure of the vineyard and the extremely steep slope of 20-40%, a harvest of impeccable quality is grown every year.
Tasting Notes :
The color of the wine resembles dark red pomegranate juice. White pepper is felt in the aroma, which speaks of the influence of oak, as well as scents of cherry and dark fruits. When tasting, the taste of wine is extremely expressive projecting the taste of cherries, cocoa beans, and a balanced sensation of tannins are noticeable. Delightful mouthfeel with great finish.
