Description
A charming wine from a small Pessac winery. All the aromas of a classic Graves, with some broad shoulders. it is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot and a drop of Cabernet Franc, aged in new oak barrels (50%) on fine lees, for 15 to 18 months. One of the Properties owned by Stephen von Neipperg, which include Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere, Chateau D’Aiguilhe and Clos L’Oratorie.
Tasting Notes:
The wine reveals ripe plum fruit, nuances of fine oak and nougat, candied orange zest. Medium body with fine red berry fruit, fresh structure, ripe tannins, subtle fruitiness, elegant and animating, a multi-faceted food wine.
