Description
Badia a corte is a great expression of the Florentine hills, Chianti endowed with great balance and nerve, a more austere version but which makes its ease of drinking the symbol that distinguishes it from other more muscular Chianti. The vineyard are located in the highest vineyard of the company, located at 350 m above sea level, here the soils are clayey (35% clay, 31% sand, 34% silt), this sandy component give the wine great minerality and momentum in the glass. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation are carried out in steel vats and then aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months.
Tasting Notes :
The result is an elegant wine, with a deep ruby red color, with notes of red berries, undergrowth and leather. On the palate full and fruity flavor with silky tannins and a finish marked by a pleasant freshness.
