Description
La Tour Sieujean: a rare, family-owned gem among Pauillac’s esteemed estates. It is nestled in the heart of Medoc, carries a four-generation legacy under Michèle and André Lopez. Made with a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot from 25 year old vines, the wine is aged for 12 to 16 months in barrel ( 70% new).
Tasting Notes :
The wine has a superb bouquet with pure blackcurrant, briary, graphite and sous-bois — wonderful clarity and sophistication here. The palate is very well balanced with crisp, filigree tannins and superb precision and freshness towards the finish. This is a very classy Pauillac that deserves to be up there with more famous names.
