Description

Château Marjosse is located in Grézillac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation of the Bordeaux wine region. It belongs to Pierre Lurton , the director of Yquem and Cheval Blanc. Purchased in 1991, the vineyard was restructured and a new ultra-modern cellar was built in 2000. The wine consists of 65% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec.

Tasting Notes :
Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Marjosse Rouge needs a little coaxing to reveal notes of mineral, crushed rocks, and dusty soil over a core of red plums, blackberry preserves, and mulberries, plus a hint of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly knit with fine-grained tannins and bold freshness supporting the nuanced black and red fruits, finishing long and minerally.
