Description
Through its singular history, the estate highlights the work of passionate women. The construction of Château Larrivaux began in 1581 with the crazy project of creating a vineyard from bare land. Since then, the owners of the estate have always been representatives of the same family lineage. Bérangère Tesseron has been running it since 2005, accompanied by her mother Sabine Carlsberg and her aunt Armelle Carlsberg. The grape varieties are composed of 61% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc.
Tasting Notes :
Deep ruby in appearance. Pleasant aromas of wet earth, fresh ripe blackberries and raspberries, finely extracted vanilla, and some hints of floral aromas hiding in the background. Crisp, creamy acidity is balanced by grippy, firm, pleasant tannins. Medium-to-full-bodied in character, this wine offers a bright finish of red and black fruits with delicate oak notes.
