Description

The Colorino wine, called ‘Casamaggio’, refers to the old farmhouse directly next to this single vineyard. As you can see from the front label, it depicts a map from 1749 representing this farmhouse and the surrounding land. The Colorino vineyard is planted on the same Alberese limestone soils that give such unique character and texture to the Sangiovese. Made with Colorino grapes, traditional fermentation started in steel for 7 days with controlled temperature, it then ages for 12 months in French tonneaux.

Tasting Notes :
The wine packed with notes of crushed blackberry, menthol and rather chewy tannins. This is a spectacular vintage for aging as the combination of high acidity with richness, more depth of flavor, truly brings together great potential for further development.
