The Aqua Vitae distillate “Le Pergole Torte” comes from the distillation of the pomace of the grapes used for the production of the winery’s flagship wine, still dripping with Sangiovese. Following the distillation process, the liquid is aged in oak barrels for a period of about four years followed by bottling. The perfect ripeness of the grapes from which the pomace comes, and the long passage in wood give the distillate softness and harmony, so much so that given these characteristics the wording grappa is even reductive. A great product that plays on a par with French Armagnacs.

Tasting Notes :
Acqua Vitae “Le Pergole Torte” has an amber color that turns towards mahogany depending on aging. The nose is unique and very clear in terms of complexity and rhythm of aromas, which alternate rhythmically and in succession: dried fruit, tobacco, chocolate and streaks of incense and vanilla. Wealth then, but always measured and never baroque. The taste is great for the ability to combine power and softness in such a millimetric way, nectar that invades the mouth conquering it without striking a blow.
