Description
This exquisite cuvée was created as a tribute to the grandfather of the current owner. It is an exceptional sparkling wine, combining originality and terroir character. Made by the Traditional Method, with lees ageing for about three years. The blend is 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Blanc and 30% Pinot Noir; grapes are hand-harvested, generally earlier than those for the still wines of the region. No malolactic fermentation is carried out in order to preserve the natural freshness of the fruit and its aromatic finesse.
Tasting Notes :
Yeasty richness, reminiscent of rye crumb, blends with mellow notes of ripe Red Delicious apple on the appealing nose of this wine. Fresh and vivid, the palate adds creamy smoothness while the fine foam bubbles gently. There is both proper autolysis here and heightened freshness, creating an elegant and expressive wine with a long, yeasty aftertaste.
