Description
Angel hair chili, scientifically known as Capsicum annuum var. Belonging to the Solanaceae family, this herbaceous plant produces small, elongated, narrow, and tapered chilis that resemble strands of hair, hence its evocative name. Angel hair chili typically grows in warm and sunny climates and is cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions around the world.
Use these chili filaments in a winter soup, stew, sauce, verrine, to spice up a summer salad, or to create beautiful plate presentations. Be careful not to rub your eyes after handling them by hand as the alkaloid they contain can cause a burning sensation.
