Description
Closely related to the Cayenne pepper, the Wiri Wiri chilli pepper originates from Guyana. It is red and round in shape, growing vertically in a humid and hot climate at the edge of the tropical forest. Its resemblance to a cherry earned it the nickname “cherry pepper.” Intensely flavorful, it has hints of tomatoes. Use it with caution, as it will infuse your simmered dishes, soups, and sauces with its aroma. Scoville scale: 10/10 (explosive).
