Description
In the 1980s, the Rogosky family first planted their vineyard with the grape variety Caberlot, discovered by Remigo Bordini. It is a natural hybrid of the grape varieties Cabernet Franc and Merlot and is grown worldwide exclusively at the Podere Il Carnasciale vineyard. This extraordinary experiment was initiated by the oenologist Peter Schilling, who extracts magic from the grapes. Single plot vinification in stainless steel, 18 months of ageing in french barrels (new around 50%) / 16 months magnum ageing.
Tasting Note :
Bright, luminous ruby red. On the nose, peppery and spicy, clear, expressive, with notes of bell pepper and red berries; the finish evokes stony notes, with an elegant, vegetal character. On the palate, it is refined, fresh, and incredibly juicy, unfolding in multiple layers—not overpowering but elegant—with great length.
