Description

Siaurac is located in the extension of the famous Pomerol plateau in Néac, with 46 hectares in a single block, making it the largest property in the appellation, a 19th-century château classified as a ‘Historic Monument’, 15 hectares of romantic, undulating parkland. The winery consists of temperature-controlled concrete vats of various capacities, allowing them to harvest and vinify small, homogeneous batches. During vinification, the winemakers choose to respect the personality of each plot selection by working with precision on extraction. Fermentation times range from fifteen days to one month, depending on the potential of each batch. Château Siaurac 2019 consists of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet-franc, aged for 14 months in French oak vats and barrels, 25% of which are new. The hot, Mediterranean-style summer of 2019 gave very rich and concentrated grape musts with high levels of tannin and anthocyanins, potentially amongst the
highest in the last 20 years.
