Description
Dating back to an antique tradition, these fruit preserves were mentioned in documents from 1572 in which Cremonese ambassadors were authorized to take “gifts of nougat and cotognata” outside the city boundaries. Since then Cotognata has become a fixture in Italian homes. The company makes Cotognata by carefully following the original recipe and by working hard to provide a product of the highest quality. This Cotognata is made from the quince and its fruit content measures over 70%.
The preserves are solid and can be cut in slices or cubes and can be eaten as a healthy snack or a delicious dessert.
