Description

History that conquers first with words than with taste. Ettore’s first Riserva, carefully followed and dressed to the nines, comes out in 2022, 10 years after the harvest. On the label is “Moon over Valpolicella,” the work with which artist Dan Namingha narrates the complexity, the layering, the richness of elements that make up this wine ;the passing of the seasons, of the years and different soils. The Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella blend went through natural withering for about 100 days in fruit lofts at controlled temperature and humidity. At the end of the three years of the normal ageing period for classic Amarone, the best 25 hl casks are selected, which – instead of being bottled – continue ageing in large Slavonian oak casks for a further 4/5 years. This is followed by a further 18-24 months of bottle ageing.

Tasting Notes :
This Amarone shows compact color that plays between ruby and garnet. Olfactory kit that starts with fruity notes of cherry, raspberry and small black fruits, then marasca cherry, balsamic sensory, resin incense and spices. The mouth is very rich and at the same time fresh. Full and well blended with the alcoholic parts of the wine. Persistent finish, with silky tannins.
