Description
A special area of the estate, in “Contrada Carranco” where producer have selected a vineyard to be produced individually. The even more suitable area of the district, in the northernmost plot, in the middle of the basalt rocks. Bush training vines planted on small terraces. The bunches of carricante are destemmed and starting a partial fermentation in steel tanks. After 3 days the wine is transferred to 225 liter oak barrels to complete the fermentation. Aging follows in “smoked” toasted French oak barrels for 8 to 12 months.
Tasting Notes :
On the nose a rich and varied bouquet with notes reminiscent of citrus fruits, such as orange and lemon follow by an intense notes of ginger. In the mouth the sip is savory and crunchy, with a continuous development and a fragrant finish with slightly almondy hints and balsamic references.
