Description

The donkeys drawn on the label of this Barbera d’Asti DOCG represent the unmistakable signature of Cascina Valle Asinari. Vineyards in the heart of the province of Asti, in Marzano Oliveto, this red wine comes from an ancient process that involves the intervention of only native yeasts that are activated in cement tanks. After vinification, the wine is slowly aged in a large 50-year-old Slavonian barrel until it reaches the right complexity.

Tasting Notes :
On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by notes of light spices and a floral hint. Lively and well-balanced on the palate, with good freshness and soft tannins that make it easy to drink. The finish is clean and persistent, ideal for pairings with pasta dishes, white meats or fresh cheeses.
